Born in 1976, Stephanie studied literature and media geography in France and Germany, graduating with a short documentary on Turkish entrepreneurs in Berlin. Travel led her to Western Africa and Australia. After travelling and studying as a journalist, she worked for print and TV media. Then she got back into science, working in a research centre for intercultural studies (ZIS), where she was focused on combining research with modern media and narrative methods. Since 2006 Stephanie has been working at ARTE Germany in three areas: as a project coordinator (cinema/fiction, performing arts, documentary & magazines); as programme manager, planning and controlling ARTE Germany ́s annual programme budget, and finally as part of a team, implementing ARTE‘s recent bi-media strategy.
