MICHELLE KASS

Twenty years ago Michelle founded Michelle Kass Associates – a Soho literary agency representing a wonderfully eclectic bunch of voice-led dramatists, authors and directors, many of them prize-winning, who work across all aspects of Story. The agency deals with production companies, publishers and financiers around the world.

From 2003-2008 she was co-Chair of the PMA, the trade association of the vast majority of UK literary and theatrical agencies. Michelle and co-Chair Alan Brodie set up an ongoing programme of seminars offered free or at minimal cost to many producers and lawyers as well as to the PMA’s members. The seminars are now funded by Skillset. The first seminar, in 2005, was Copyright and New Technology and was attended by 300 industry members and reflects a particular interest in the opportunities and challenges of digital media.

She was for several years a member of the British Council Film and Television Advisory Board for Chair Duncan Kenworthy.

Michelle has a degree in Law and Modern Languages from Cambridge University.
