SEAN COLEMAN

Sean ColemanBorn in the UK and raised in South Africa, Sean Coleman is a writer of film and television drama, a novelist, and an award-winning writer and producer of cross-platform drama and reality series. Sean holds a BA in Scriptwriting from Bournemouth, and MA in Screenwriting from LCP.

He started his career as a writer for Douglas Adams on Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Online (h2g2.com), and then moved to Flextech Television to become Interactive Broadcasts Producer for Living TV and Trouble TV. Here, Sean was responsible for creating engaging and award-winning cross-platform projects for broadcast, red button, online and mobile platforms for popular shows like Most Haunted, Cruel Summer and Flash Band.

In 2006 Sean returned to fiction, joining Endemol UK to become the writer and Executive Producer of a series of hugely successful transmedia projects. He wrote and produced Cell – two series of action thriller originally commissioned by O2, and then re-commissioned and broadcast by Sony Pictures and Fox International. Sean co-wrote and Exec Produced Kirill – the Emmy-nominated and Webby Award winning web-drama, for MSN UK. He also created and Executive Produced the multi-award winning reality series The Gap Year for bebo.com which was entirely Ad-funded by 13 different sponsors.

Sean is currently completing the young people’s fiction novel Shadow Chasers which is the first novel in the series The Darke Chronicles. He is the lead writer of Millis Adventures – a series of picture books, interactive storybooks for tablets and an animated television series for pre-school children, due to be published in June 2014. He is also the scriptwriter of the three-part graphic novel series about cyber-terrorism for the cross-platform project Netwars with Berlin production company, filmtank. At the end of 2013, he completed the full-length thriller novel, The Code – also a part of the Netwars project. The Code and the Graphic novels are due to be published in April 2014. He continues to develop his own writing for all platforms.
