CHRISTIAN VANGSGAARD

Christian Vangsgaard

Christian has a Masters Degree in Media Science from the University of Aarhus. While studying he went to New York to work as an intern at Scott Rudin Productions. Later he also worked as an intern and Producer assistant at the Danish Company, Nimbus Film. After receiving his degree he has been working in the Danish Film industry. First as a Production Coordinator on numerous feature films and series and later as Film Producer on his own projects.   He founded Kamikaze Film CPH in September 2012 together with Film Producer Malthe Koch. They are currently working on numerous film projects supported by New Danish Screen (The Danish Film Institute).

Whilst attending a workshop in 2012 arranged by New Danish Screen, he came up with the idea for what is now MURDER:CPH together with Screenwriter Kim Blidorf.  The creative team has now expanded to incorporate a Graphic Designer, a Director and a Game Designer. The project is supported by New Danish Screen and has received funding for developing gameplay and structure. Because of the nature of the interactive movie Christian has also developed a special visual style using a custom made helmet design, giving them the chance to shoot everything on a Black Magic Pocket camera with super 16 lenses.  Besides MURDER:CPH Christian is currently producing a animation short supported by New Danish Screen, a documentary about the shadows of Holocaust and has recently produced a pilot for a  TV series.
