ALEXANDRE BRACHET

Alexandre Brachet is a producer and CEO of Upian.com, a French company involved in web & flash design and development.

Founded in 1998, the studio has been an innovative Internet content provider in France, experimenting with new platforms and the creation of new formats, such as presidentielles.net, a creative, independent political space which covered the French presidential elections, launching in 2002 and 2007.

In 2006, Upian produced the interactive webdoc  lacitedesmortes.net about Ciudad Juarez, a city in Mexico where over 400 women have been mysteriously killed. The ‘site was viewed as a cornerstone for new editorial formats on the Internet. In 2007, thanatorama.com, an online experience around the funeral business won the Grand Prix at the Web Flash Festival.

In 2008, Upian co-produced Gaza-Sderot with ARTE.tv. These online films document the lives of the men, women and children of Gaza (Palestine) and Sderot (Israel). The documentary was nominated for an Emmy and won the Prix Europa in Berlin.

Upian is currently working on Havana Miami and is due to launch Prison Valley on the 22th of April.
