Power to the Pixel: The Cross-Media Forum
in association with the BFI London Film Festival
12 – 15 October 2010

Since its inception in 2007, Power to the Pixel’s Cross-Media Forum has gained a world-class reputation for bringing together the leading international innovators and pioneers who are changing the way films are being created, financed and are reaching audiences in a digital world.

With its eye firmly focused on the business of storytelling this year, Power to the Pixel presented The Pixel Market, a first-of-its-kind, two-day marketplace showcasing the best international cross-media stories – stories that span a combination of film, tv, online, gaming, live events, mobile.

18 international teams were selected for targeted one-to-one business meetings with financiers and commissioners from across the media industries.  Nine of the projects were presented In Competition at The Pixel Pitch, a pitching forum that took place in front of a public audience. Granny’s Dancing on the Table, being produced by Sweden’s Helene Granqvist of Good World and co-written and directed by Hanna Sköld of Tangram Film, won the £6,000 ARTE Pixel Pitch Prize.

The Forum culminated in a Think Tank which brought together the leading international thinkers and practitioners working in the cross-media field, many of whom have taken the leap into reinventing new means and methods of working in film and related media.
