ARTE Pixel Pitch Prize Winner Announced

Power to the Pixel’s first ever Pixel Market has now come to a close.  Out of the 18 international teams selected for the market, 9  went through to the competitive section, The Pixel Pitch, held on 13 October at the BFI Southbank. The teams presented a diverse range of cross-media projects in front of an international jury of top media executives, financiers and commissioners, and a public audience of over 350 delegates.  One winning team has just walked away with the £6,000 ARTE Pixel Pitch Award.

Power to the Pixel is delighted to announce that the winning project is Granny’s Dancing on the Table from Sweden’s Helene Granqvist of Good Film and Hanna Sköld of Tangram Films. The project is a coming-of-age fairytale spanning film, gaming, live events, interactive and publishing. Watch their winning presentation here…

The Pixel Market creates a unique arena where creatives and industry decision-makers can come together to explore how to effectively finance, package and launch cross-media projects. It also offers a rare opportunity for fledgling projects to get the exposure and support they need to get to market. This year’s Pixel Pitch competition may have ended, but watch this space for news about the finalists as their projects develop and launch over the coming year.
