Two Winners Announced For The Inaugural Pixel Lab 2011 Prize!

19.10 2011

The Pixel Lab is Power to the Pixel’s European business development training programme, now in its second year, which began in June. 14 producers came to London last week for their final workshop, held in tandem with The Cross-Media Forum, where they received half a day’s pitch training in preparation for a five-minute presentation to an international jury, headed by RTL Group’s Senior VP New Media, Ian McClelland, and a selection of invited industry guests.

A split jury ultimately awarded a top prize of £2,000 to Turning Point being produced by Tobias Büchner from Germany’s zero one films, with a Special Commendation being created for B3 Media’s Marc Boothe and The Elders Project. Boothe will be donating his £1,000 prize money to the Black Elderly Care Group (BEGS) in Southwark, London.

The Pixel Lab 2012 will open for submissions in February next year.
