Jonty Claypole joined BBC Arts in 2003.  In 2010, he became an Executive Producer for Factual with a particular focus on arts programmes for BBC Four. He created strands like What Do Artists Do All Day, Secret Knowledge and In Their Own Words, as well as many landmark series like British Masters, Treasures of Ancient Rome and the Handmade in Britain partnership with the V&A.

As a Director and Series Producer, Jonty worked on some of the most popular arts programmes of the last ten years – from Around the World in 80 Treasures with Dan Cruickshank to Seven Ages of Britain with David Dimbleby.
