DANIEL FERNÁNDEZ MELO – General Coordinator, DocMontevideo (UY)

PARTICIPATING AS A LATIN AMERICAN FOCUS MEMBER

Daniel Fernández Melo (Uruguay) is General Coordinator of DocMontevideo and responsible for Interactive Initiatives. He coordinated the three editions of the DocMontevideo Hackathon, organized in partnership with the NFB, and with the participation of ARTE, POV Digital, TFI Interactive and the MIT Open Documentary Lab. He is a professor at the Faculty of Information and Communication at University of the Republic. He has participated as jury and a decision maker in international film activities, such as Cinergia (Costa Rica), DocBuenosAires, MICSUR, MICA and Ventana Sur (Argentina). He is currently taking a Master in Information and Communication with focus on interactive productions.
